2022 Texas' Universal Classic Ms

Daylene is married to Bo Collette and they have 4 children. She graduated with honors from Sam Houston State University with a bachelor’s degree in business management. She had a successful career in office management for years and worked as the Document Control Manager for the contractor that built the ExxonMobil campus in The Woodlands. She dreamt of being an attorney and left that career behind to pursue that dream. While raising three children at home, she attended South Texas College of Law in Houston where she graduated cum laude with a doctorate of juris prudence. Daylene took the Texas State Bar exam while 8 months pregnant with child #4, Callan Collette. After passing the bar exam, she became a licensed attorney in the State of Texas. She now owns her own law firm with offices in Palestine and Huntsville.

Daylene is the mother of Megan, Brent, Jaxon, and Callan, with a 17 year gap between the oldest and the youngest. Daylene has 2 grandchildren, Elly and Dot, and 2 bonus grandchildren. Daylene grew up in Palestine Texas where she was actively involved in the Texas Theater, a small community theater that was like a second home. Daylene’s parents were very active members of the community and instilled a deep appreciation for the performing arts.

Daylene has a talent for passionate debate, which she uses daily in her career as a family law attorney. She enjoys reading and traveling with family. She loves the beach and dreams of one day practicing law on a sunny beach somewhere.

Daylene hosts a community service event for first responders called Cocoa for Cops, where she hands out cookies and her homemade hot chocolate as a thank you to those that serve our community.

I can't wait to meet y'all at the preliminaries and see you in Bastrop.

Never forget that dreams can come true!
