​INTERVIEW
Interview in this division should be a blazer and skirt style or a Sundays Best. It should fall about 2-3 inches above the knee. You should wear pantyhose and character shoes (nude color shoes) are popular in this division. Hair should be soft and out of your face. Lip gloss and blush are perfectly acceptable and recommended but remember, light not heavy.
Your daughter should practice sitting with her shoulders back, sitting up tall but not stiff. She should have her ankles crossed and hands in her lap. She will be asked to stand and tell her name, age, and where she is from. She will then answer a question and go back to her seat.

SPORTSWEAR
In this age division, dress pants are popular as well as dressy capris. Blazers are also popular for sportswear in 7-9. Please look at photos to get an idea of what she should wear. Dye-able shoes are great as you can match your shoes to your outfit. You can buy dye-able shoes online and then take them to a bridal store or shoe repair store to have them died to match. She should wear no earrings or jewelry and should have NO SHINY OBJECTS ANYWHERE during this event. Please read the rule book on specifics in this category. If you are unsure of something, please ask.
PARTY DRESS
Party Dress Styles in 7-9 are short Pageant Dresses. They should come 2-3 inches above the knee. They should not be a baby doll style pageant dress but more of a Southern or Natural falling style. Please see photos on great styles to look for. It should also have a closed back, cannot fall below the contestants shoulder blades, and all straps you be at least 1 inch wide.
