2021 Texas' Ideal Miss

Hello everyone!  My name is Aeryn Thorp and I am the 2021 Texas Ideal Miss for the 13 to 15 age group.  I’m currently 14 years old and an 8th grader at Woodcreek Junior High in Katy, Texas.  I’m active in athletics where I play basketball and tennis.  I enjoy art and am a member of the National Junior Honor Society.  I also sing and play the electric bass guitar as a hobby.  I’ve performed with the School of Rock since I was 10 years old and have just been accepted into their House Band, which is really cool.  Thank you for visiting my page!  It’s been a true honor and pleasure to participate in the OLM pageant scholarship program

I’d like to introduce you to my not-so-little happy family!  My mom and stepdad, Mark, got married 5 years ago.  He is a military veteran who served in Iraq and is also a 20-year member of the Houston Police Department.  My mom, Andrea, owns a staffing agency and enjoys helping people find employment.  My older brother, Wyatt, is in the 9th grade at Tompkins High School where he is a lineman on their football team.  My little brother, Charlie, is 12 years old and plays video games.  I’m in the middle.  My dad, Claude, is in the oil and gas business and has been incredibly supportive throughout my OLM journey.  We’re a busy family, always going in different directions, but there’s never a dull moment, and each one of them is always there for me

I’ve been performing with the School of Rock in Katy for almost 5 years now.  I sing and play the electric bass guitar.  I’ve only been playing the guitar for 2 years, but I picked it up very quickly.  I’m happy to think that my talent mixes it up a little bit for the families in the audience as well as the judges!
